First Impressions
The first thing people notice when taking a glance at the Kreg PRS1045 Precision Router Table System is the color. The blue-gray mix is very pleasing to the eyes, and hints at simplicity, but this router table will make you route like a professional, despite looking fairly simple.
Besides the gorgeous color, the self-squaring t-square style fence is another easily noticeable thing, as well as the steel-strut reinforced MDF top.
This means that it handles vibrations like a pro. This router table looks very sturdy at a first glance, which is proven during the testing.

Solid and Precise
Two steel support struts reinforce the MDF table plate preventing bending over time. The Kreg PRS1045 does a very well job at reducing noise and vibrations. We haven’t had any problems due to vibrations while we were using this router table.
You will notice that the insert plate can mount almost any router without having to resort to the Swiss-cheese type of surface. Swiss-cheese surfaces do support a lot of different routers, but the drawback is that they can easily get deformed.
T-Square Fence
T-square fences stay parallel to the miter and T-slot, automatically squaring the fence. This means that you can easily make small adjustments even if you are just starting out with squaring. The Kreg PRS1045 lets you utilize the miter slot to its fullest potential.
We loved the sturdy aluminium fence which locks firmly in place, and it even supports big stock pieces. The Kreg PRS1045 includes two sliding fence faces which turn it into a vertical jointer.
The designers of the Kreg PRS1045 took a look at some of the high-end models and applied the knowledge they have gained to this model.
Dust Collection
It has a full-length dust collection port, which is always a big plus. Dust will be collected in the dust collection port while you are working, and after you are finished, you will have no problems with removing the dust.
We love keeping our workshop clean, and this model has a very good system to keep your work area clean.
Worth the Money
It might seem a little bit pricey when you take a first look at it, but bear in mind what you will receive if you buy it. If you are a professional woodworker, you know the value of having a t-square fence and a miter/T-slot.
We believe that the Kreg PRS1045 is well worth the money due to the overall quality of the build, and due to what you receive with it.
Conclusion
This model looks gorgeous, and it comes with some unique features. It has a very durable fence and provides you with lots of workspace which lets you work with big stock pieces.
If you are a beginner with money to spare, you can buy the Kreg PRS1045 due to its sheer value, but if you are a professional, you already know how worth the money this router table is.
We have to say that this router table is one-of-a-kind, and every professional woodworker will see it as a great addition to their workshop. The t-square style design of the fence is great, and the MDF tabletop reinforced with a steel strut only adds to the value.
This is one of the best models we have tested, and we have all agreed that any professional would see it as an excellent addition to his or her workshop.
